The biggest tourist attraction in Fort Morgan is the actual fort itself. Built in 1834, this awesome piece of history is filled with historically accurate demonstrations and interpreters. The fort has many costumed interpreters that demonstrate different historic Civil War acts for tourists to see along their self-guided tour. Tourists will get to explore the entire fort, including getting a glimpse of the bastions and different weaponry used in battle during such a dark time in history. It is a really interesting chance to see such a phenomenal historic landmark, and it shouldn’t be missed!
If travelers are looking for a fun day with the kids, we recommend taking the Mobile Bay Ferry after touring the fort.
