About Camp David
For an authentic Smoky Mountain experience, reserve Camp David, a stunning log cabin perched high atop a mountain ridgeline and nestled in the thick forestry of the mountains. One step into this amazing cabin and you will feel as though you have found your forever second home and will want to come back again, and again. Step out onto the outdoor deck and lean back in your rocking chair. From here, you will soak in miles of rolling green hills and see first-hand the smoky mist of the mountain tops. For an evening of pure luxury, slip into the bubbling waters of the outdoor hot tub and take in the kaleidoscope of colors as the leaves change colors across the mountain range during the autumn months. After visiting the holiday extravaganza, Winterfest, return to your cabin for hot chocolate and views of the beautiful snowy white mountains in the distance.
Camp David features two-bedrooms and plenty of space to comfortably accommodate six guests. Whether you are visiting for a family vacation, guys’ getaway, bachelorette party, or couples’ retreat you will have an amazing time visiting Pigeon Forge and the Smokies.
After a delicious 4-course meal and attending the lively show at Dolly Parton’s Stampede, you will be happy to return to Camp David for even more entertainment. Kick off your shoes, plop down, and melt into the plush leather couch while a fire burns in the stone fireplace. Gather everyone in the living room for some after-dinner fun playing charades, or grab a deck of cards for a poker game that will go late into the night. If you prefer not having to do anything, find a movie and cuddle up on the couch for a few hours of cinematic entertainment. If you are bringing children, you can declare a movie night and pop some popcorn. Or, if your group prefers games, clear the coffee table and spread out your favorite board game and let the competition begin. When morning arrives make a pot of coffee, grab a cup, and head out to the back porch. Here you will enjoy the quiet sounds of the mountains, can listen to the birds sing their sweetest sounds and let the sun warm your face. If the weather has turned chilly, stay inside and sip your morning beverage in the cozy reading chair in the living room.
Camp David features a fully-equipped, modern full-size kitchen with stainless steel appliances and is loaded with all the essentials needed to create fabulous home cooked meals. Wake up and put on a pot of coffee. While it is brewing step onto the deck for a breath of fresh mountain air, or gaze out the windows and behold incredible views. If you have decided to make a family dinner, go ahead and set your table with the necessary dinnerware and utensils. The spacious granite-top bar is the perfect spot for a self-service dinner or a buffet of finger foods and drinks.
The dining room will welcome all of your guests and boasts natural light, warm wood tones, and fosters a welcoming, charming atmosphere for family and friends. Gather around the quaint wooden dining table with seating for four guests to savor home cooked meals or family game nights. The room features hardwood floors spanning from the dining area to the kitchen where you can easily serve meals. Romantic meals don’t always have to be at dinnertime, plan a special breakfast for your group and delight in the morning light drifting in through the windows and you all chat about your plans for the day that include heading to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. Don’t forget to visit the Smoky Mountain Winery in downtown Gatlinburg so you can bring a few bottles of wine back to the cabin for an evening game of card playing under the warm light of the chandelier.
Camp David offers two-bedrooms, each filled with charming furnishings and cozy touches. The master suite features a king-size bed, an oversized chair, area rug, flat screen television, dresser, nightstands, and reading lamps. It also includes a jetted tub and a gas fireplace. Climb into bed, pull up the covers and let your mind and body drift off to sleep. If you or your loved one still has a bit of energy after such a full day of activity, turn on the lamp and read a book, or tune-in to your favorite late night show while you nod off to sleep. The second bedroom also features a king-size bed, a flat screen television, a dresser, nightstands and reading lamps. It is a charming bedroom that will encourage sleeping-in and drinking coffee in bed while looking out the window to the beautiful wooded views.
At Camp David there is no such thing as downtime, especially when your cabin has its own billiard table in the loft. Rack up the balls and challenge your friends to a billiard tournament. Or if you are not into playing billiards, grab a seat and take turns looking at the views and watching the game. Bring a few drinks up to the loft, laugh, sip and have fun hanging out and reconnecting with friends and family.
One look at the gorgeous views and you may find the remainder of your trip spent on the back deck. There are a host of amenities such as an outdoor hot tub, gas grill, outdoor rocking chairs, and access to the community swimming pool. Fill your beverage cup with your favorite drink, step outside, lean on the log porch railing and gaze out over miles and miles of lush forestry and rolling mountains. Slip into your bathing suit and hop in the outdoor hot tub where you can watch the clouds get lost beyond the mountain peaks. If you are getting ready to watch some college gameday on the flat screen television, you may want to grill up a batch of wings on the gas grill. After the game, or in the evenings, take to the deck for a nightcap and watching the stars light up the sky. On hot, sunny days, cool off in the community pool!
